Is Mongrix OS ready for daily use?

Not yet. It is an early project and nothing has been released. Expect rough edges and read the release notes before installing.

Why not use an existing distribution?

Mongrix OS is for people who want to learn how Linux is built, stay in full control of their system and keep it small and secure. If you just want a ready-made desktop, an established distribution may suit you better.

How do I get updates?

The update mechanism has not been decided yet. A lightweight package manager is on the roadmap.

What hardware is supported?

The first release targets x86_64 PCs that boot with UEFI. Legacy BIOS is not planned for the first release. Support for aarch64 is planned for later.

How do I report a bug?

Use the Report a bug page. For security problems, see the Security policy.

Where can I ask questions?
